I have been making photographs on St Barthelemy since 1999, or maybe even a little before that. At any rate, I think that is when I started getting into digital photography. JackiB brought me to SBH for the first time, she said "you have to see St Barts".... and she was right.
A little church with a little church inside. Grateful to the church for their generosity in providing space for our meetings.
The more it changes, the more it stays the same.
The top turn coming out of town.
One of my favorite spots to be right before sunrise. Always a refreshing breeze and the sun always puts on a great show.
My favorite part of Bucket week is the fly-by of the WWII fighter planes. The sound is incredible.

When there is a swell, Lorient is a great place to watch kidz surf. Some of these guys can really shred.
Home of Les Basses
Hard to beat a morning waking up in a beach villa at Les Ilets....and taking 4 or 5 steps down to the Baie de St Jean.
I got pretty wet making shotz of this boat....fun day.
Sunsets in and around Gustavia are almost guaranteed to provide something special. I was up by the light house when I noticed the sunlight hitting a few of the boats.
Everyone loves a Moke. We used to rent them maybe 20 years ago. They were lots of fun. I'm old now, so I like air condish and prefer not getting wet when it rains.
Main drag in Gustavia. Rue du General de Gaulle. One of my first experiments with HDR processing. Obviously I went a little over the top with the color, but it is still a favorite of mine.
The iconic surf shack in Lorient. Just down the beach from Rosita's fantastic Villa Les Basses.
Super clean morning, just a beautiful beach.
The unmistakable stairway to the beach from Les Ilets de la Plage. Some years the bottom steps are in the ocean.....some years they are on a big beach. Mother Nature decides.
I will alway remember this as a lucky shot. I was hanging out at Les Ilets and it started to rain. I walked over by the runway and saw this crazy sky....ran back to the room, grabbed my stuff and drove up to the circle....caught the last minutes of light.
This guy always felt at home at Les Ilets. He was treated so well by the staff.
Always thought this bicycle looked cool. Probably the color.
Pilatus PC 12
Just a great looking airplane. We will be trying out the SJU-SXM this fall. I am looking forward to it.
