Received my latest gadget in the mail today. A Flash Bender. I'm gonna pack it for my next trip to see how it holds up in the field. It appears to be well made and folds up nicely to fit in my bag.
I think it could be useful for lighting up objects in the foreground when I'm shooting into the light? looks simple to use, just strap it to a remote flash. Feels like it may be a little heavy to use with an attached flash.
I think what I will do is set up the camera on a tripod, compose the shot and then hand hold the flash while triggering the shot with a remote shutter release. At the very least, it will give me something to do for a few days.
